Hello Hacker "Anthony" or do you use a different handle?
Sorry there is nothing to steal here but if you want to play just email us, we will let you know when we have a competition or something going on.

Any of the other projects on the site are pretty much open source too so if you have an interest let us know. corprattx@gmail.com

Building the "Gordo-48" and "fitting it all together."

A Gordo-48 replaces 40 standard Servers but uses less than 500 Watts in an hour.

A standard Server uses around 500 Watts, times 40 Servers = 20,000 Watts per hour. You do the math. - Todd W. Byars, Computer Dudes, Tallahassee, Florida

"The existence of a polynomial-time quantum algorithm proves that one of the most widely used cryptographic protocols is vulnerable to an adversary who possesses a quantum computer. However, it is theoretically accepted that quantum computers could equally be used to counteract against adversarial actions of this kind with the laws of quantum mechanics applied in this cryptographic capacity (through use of quantum computers) paving the way to quantum cryptography."

Our "Gordo-24" is a "Quantum Computer" that can be configured for non-standard computing. ;)T

Nice Try Iran. You hacked one level of passwords on one of our servers but got locked out due to the geographic location of your servers.
Next time, mask your IP number. Don't be too embarrassed, we busted China with the same trick over a year ago. ;)T

I do not consider other Tech Companies or their owners and employees as competition.

I think of them as my Brothers and Sisters. - Todd W. Byars, founder The Computer Dudes, Inc. Tallahassee, Florida.

Never Fear, The Computer Dudes, Inc. - are still here virus or no virus, and we are still growing.

on 05 Apr 2020  Posted by Administrator  Category: Technology

I realize the Corona Virus, and Businesses closing, caught many business owners by surprise. However, the Computer Dudes have been in business so long that we have instructions on what to do during a shutdown as part of our procedures manual.

Since its inception in 1997, The Computer Dudes, Inc. have weathered the terrorist attack on 9/11and the year after that, dozens of hurricanes, power failures, gas price wars and everything else that has happened in the last 30+ years.

I know some of you are scared, but my companies and I have lived through all this, are working now, and will still be working after this crisis passes.

So - Don't Worry. Stay Home, and practice your skills or take up some hobbies until this passes.

The retail side of Computer Dudes business is slow like most retail business currently.   So we are growing into new programming projects, completing research, and building clustered microservers like the Chico and Gordo line.  When business returns to normal the new products and services we are working on now will be ready.

Todd :)

2020 is the Year of the Gordo.    The Gordo-48 Microserver Cluster.

The "Gordo-48" is a radial microserver cluster computer. designed by The Computer Dudes, Inc of Tallahassee, Florida in January of 2020.

Based on its Artistic Form, its Low Power consumption, and Adaptability, it is a Revolutionary Design.

Gordo-48 Specs and Stats:

48 Quadcore ARM Processors = 96 Cores running from 1.2 to 2 Ghz
192 Gigabytes of DDR4 RAM
6 Tb MicroSD Solid State Hard Drives
48 Gigabit, Wake On LAN Wired Ethernet, PoE Enabled
48 Multicore GPUs, each GPU can run two 55 Inch 4K Televisions concurrently.
48 Wifi adapters
48 Sound Cards
96 USB 2.0
96 USB 3.0
96 HDMI Outputs

Advantages over every other Server on the planet in 2020:

1) Energy Savings
2) Low Power Use,  550 Watts at 5 volts DC.
3) Heat Savings = Air Conditioning Savings,  The chips automatically slow down when they pass a certain temperature.
4) Small and Light.   Each Gordo-48 replaces  4 full racks of standard servers.  That is 10 standard servers per rack, for a total of 40 standard servers, replaced by a single Gordo-48!
5) All the software is Free,   Standard Configuration is Raspberian Linux, with SAMBA4 including load balancing.   Custom Configuration to your request is available too.
6) It's Linux, so it  rarely gets viruses.

Additional Features you will not find any any other Server on the planet:

Dual 28 Port PoE Gigabit Switches, built into the computer's base.
850 Va, 550 Watt UPS Battery Backup with Surge Protector and Digital Info Display, also built into the computer's base.
Glows in the Dark.

We are building the first Gordo-48 this week.   The programming is complete.   The power systems are also complete and ready for assembly.

The Gordo Series is now for sale - only through The Computer Dudes, Inc.

The Gordo-48 will start at $15,500 with basic options.

The Gordo-48 V 2.0 includes Power over Ethernet, PoE. through an un-managed Gigabit 10/100/1000 Switch.  The Gordo-48 V 2.0 start at  $18,500

This project is now almost a year ahead of schedule.   Check back soon for further updates.  :)T

Coming Soon:   Just how much electricity can be saved in Watts, using a single Gordo-48 to replace 40 standard servers by manufacturers like Dell and HP.

Computer Dude's Working Prototype is the world's first "Glow in the Dark" computer server. Our 24 microcomputer cluster, the "Gordo-24," enters production.
